KENYA: Cardinal Turkson to Visit Hekima University College in October

NAIROBI SEPTEMBER 20, 2016(CISA)-Cardinal Peter Appiah Turkson, President of the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace will visit Kenya next month.

According to a press invite sent to CISA, Cardinal Turkson will deliver his message of openness and participates in the international conference on “extractive industries, Conflict and sustainable development” organized by Hekima Institute of peace Studies and international Relations (HIPSIR) On October 4.

“This visit of Cardinal Turkson represents an opportunity in terms of exchanges and cooperation not only for the local church but also for students of Theology and Peace and International Relations of the University,” said  Fr Jocelyn Rabeson, SJ, Lecturer and Head of the Library of University College Hekima reported Jesuit Africa Provincialate website September 20.

The prelate will then conduct lecture to students of the Jesuit faculty of theology on the theme of “ecology and theological education in Africa” On Wednesday October 05.

He will later preside over Mass at the university.
Fr Rabeson said that the visit to Kenya by Cardinal Turkson, after Pope’s visit to Africa was part of the continuity of papal message of hope.
