JUBA, JULY 17 2015(CISA) – Archbishop Paulino Lukudu Loro of the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba on Thursday congratulated Muslims in South Sudan and all over the world on the Eid-Ul- Fitr celebrations.

The Archbishop in his message commended the Muslim community for exercising religious values of fasting, prayer, alms giving, visits to family members and friends during the Holy Month of Ramadan, Catholic Radio Network reported July 16.

He lamented that the joy of the feast of Muslims and other religious communities is “shadowed by the memory of the dear ones who lost their lives, goods and suffered physically, mentally and spiritually because of the present situation in the country.”

The prelate added that the fruits of Ramadan and the joy of Eid El Fitr Al Mubarak bring about peace and prosperity to enhance Muslims’ human and spiritual growth.

Eid- Ul- Fitr is a religious holiday celebrated by muslims worldwide that marks the end of Ramadan the Islamic holy month of fasting, where Muslims intensify prayer and give alms.
