NAIROBI NOVEMBER 30 2015(CISA) – Registration for congregations and religious students to attend meeting with Pope Francis is now closed.
In a statement sent to CISA by Religious Superiors’ Conference of Kenya (RSCK) Executive Secretary, Br David Mahoney, the number of RSCK member congregations who have registered to see Pope Francis has topped 70.
“To that add non-AOSK and non-RSCK religious students from CUEA, Marist, and CTIE, as well as students from Apostles of Jesus Seminary… and the number registered by RSCK surpasses 1960.Many more diocesan priests and women religious have been registered through KCCB and AOSK,” read the statement in part.
RSCK plans to distribute tickets or tags for the meeting when they become available, to superiors on several different days at several different locations to be announced. Diocesan priests and religious women are advised to be on the lookout for communication from dioceses or from AOSK to know how to collect theirs.
During his visit to Kenya, The Holy Father is expected to meet the religious, consecrated life and the clergy including priests, nuns, brothers and seminarians on November 26 at St. Mary’s School, M’songari.
