VATICAN: Msgr Tomasz Grysa appointed Apostolic Nuncio to Madagascar and the Comoros Islands

VATICAN CITY, SEPTEMBER 30, 2022 (CISA) – Pope Francis has appointed polish Rev Msgr Tomasz Grysa as the apostolic nuncio in Madagascar and apostolic delegate in the Comoros Islands.

In an announcement by the Holy See Press Office on September 27, the Holy Father also elevated Msgr Grysa to the titular see of Rubicon with the dignity of archbishop.

Msgr Tomasz Grysa was born in Poznań, Poland, on October 16, 1970. He was ordained a priest on May 25, 1995, and holds a degree in canon law.

Msgr Grysa, who served as First Counsellor at the Holy See Mission to the United Nations for three years, and also in the same capacity at the Apostolic Delegation of the Holy See in Jerusalem, joined the Papal Diplomatic Service on July 1, 2001.

He has also served as a Nunciature counsellor in Russian Federation, India, Belgium, Mexico, Brazil, Israel and Palestine. He speaks French, English, Italian, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish.
