Rev. Prof Stephen Mbugua, a priest from the Catholic Diocese of Nakuru, was also installed the Vice Chancellor of CUEA.
The October 18 ceremony took place a day before the varsity’s 37th Graduation Ceremony that saw close to 2000 students graduate from the university itself and its five other constituent colleges.
The two new office bearers were elected and appointed respectively at the 19th AMECEA Plenary Assembly that took place in July 2018 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The Chief Justice and President of the Supreme Court in Kenya, Hon. David Maraga graced the graduation ceremony.
“Indeed, an enlightened society is a society whose people are prepared to face challenges that confront the world today. In a world where there is unprecedented integration and ever more complex challenges, it is only through education that we can grow to understand our challenges and address them,” said the Chief Justice.
