KENYA: “Be Useful and Bear Fruits,” Archbishop Anyolo Urges Youth

By CISA

NAIROBI, NOVEMBER 22, 2022 (CISA) – “Be useful and be of bearing fruits,” appealed Most Rev Phillip Anyolo of the Catholic Archdiocese of Nairobi during the annual archdiocesan youth mass held at St. Mary’s Msongari grounds on November 19.

Archbishop Anyolo challenged the young people to live their lives by emulating the teachings of the beatitudes.

“Beatitudes means qualities that are wonderful in one’s life that they guide you not only towards God but towards one another as we live together as brothers and sisters,” said the archbishop.

While referring to the life of Blessed Maria Carola Cecchin who was recently beatified in Meru, Archbishop appealed to the youth to “Choose guiding principles of life which are morally acceptable.”

“If we don’t have good morals, we won’t have anything that will lead us to be responsible people in the future,” he said.

Archbishop Anyolo also urged the youth to take advantage of the many professionals at their disposal in the Church to guide and mentor them to make a difference in their lives.
