MOMBASA, OCTOBER 22, 2019 (CISA) – The 2019 Caritas Annual Forum scheduled for October 22-26 has kicked off in Mombasa.
Under the theme: ‘Caritas, giving hope in solidarity with the people in need and caring for the Earth, our common home’ the meeting has brought together representatives from Caritas Kenya, Diocesan Caritas Directors in Kenya, Representatives of the Presidential Strategy Unit, Kenya Agricultural & Livestock Research Organization (KALRO), National Environment Management Authority of Kenya (NEMA), KENTAINERS, Caritas Microfinace Bank, Magic Colours, Caritas Internationalis Member Organisations and project teams from Caritas Mombasa.
Caritas is the development arm of the Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops (KCCB) and this year’s meeting aims to strengthen the partnerships and synergy among the Caritas partners in Kenya and to explore opportunities for domestic resource mobilization to complement donor funding.
