NAIROBI SEPTEMBER 27, 2016(CISA)-Strauss Energy, a local firm that comprises of innovators in the fields of engineering, energy and construction won the E4Impact Innovation Challenge that took place at Tangaza University College in Nairobi, September 22.
The group also won the Green Economy & Renewable Energy Cluster for Entrepreneurship Challenge 2016. Jacob Rugano of Africartrack won the ICT & Mobile Cluster and was the first Runners-up in the Entrepreneurship Challenge 2016 whereas Meru Herbs, producer of organic products won Agribusiness Cluster and was second Runners up.
Conservation Through Public Health (CTPH) a non-profit organization based in Uganda, won Education & Training Cluster and was the third runners up in the competition whereas Linic Enterprise, that offers cleaning Services, Hospitality Consultancy and Training won Business Services Cluster and were the fourth Runners up.
The event was graced by Archbishop Charles Daniel Balvo, Apostolic Nuncio to Kenya and South Sudan accompanied by Fr Celestino Bundi, Pontifical Missionary Societies (PMS) National Director.
The E4Impact Innovation Challenge is a pitching event in which MBA participants drawn from East Africa and beyond who for the past 16 months have been engaged in hands on experiential MBA program at Tangaza University College are given a chance to pitch their business plan to a jury of investors, business experts and facilitators.
The innovation program is the last and most important competition organized for each edition for the MBA program
